Enjoy this wonderful Dahabiya Boat Trip.

The colonial style of the first dahabiyas, built in Oman in the late 18th and early 19th centuries, was used as a model for the sacred golden lotus vessel, which was also built during this time. The heart of this traditional two-masted sailing boat is the sundeck, partially sheltered from the weather by the sails. It’s the perfect place to relax in a comfortable wooden chair and watch the world go by while enjoying the view. In addition to the saloon, there is a fine sitting area, one suite, four cabins, and one suite on the lower deck. The comfortable lounge has a small library with some books on Egypt and the Nile on display. These books have something to do with what the lounge is about. It is the perfect place to relax after a long working day because it has comfortable sofas. While you relax with a cup of Turkish coffee or a bottle of Alexandrian wine, you can talk about your life and experiences, read a book or play a game of backgammon. You can also do any of these other things. Don’t miss our Egypt Nile Cruises

Itinerary

4 Days / 3 NightsAswan to Luxor

Day 1: Friday

When you arrive in Aswan, either at the airport or at the train station, your tour manager will be there to meet you and help you. After that, your Egyptologist guide will take you on a fun day trip around Aswan.

During this tour, you’ll see the Philae Temple, the High Dam, and the Aswan Bazaar, where you can enjoy a stroll. After that, you’ll be taken to your Dahabiya Nile Boat, where you can eat lunch while floating down the Nile. Have a great trip as you go to Kom Ombo. After you get to Kom Ombo, you should spend the night there.

Meals: lunch – dinner.

Day 2: Saturday

Breakfast at your leisure. We will next check out the Greco-Roman Temple at Kom Ombo. The temple has two entrances, two halls, and two sanctuaries. One is for the god Haroeris, also known as Horus, the Elder, and the other is for Sobek (the Crocodile). As we started the temple of Gebel el Silsila, another of our less-visited places, we started calmly and enjoyably.

You will be shocked when we finally get close to the Speos of Hormheb. If possible, dinner will be served on the lit-up temple grounds or the top deck. During their meal, guests can take in the peaceful atmosphere and listen to music chosen to fit the setting.

Meals: breakfast – lunch – dinner.

Day 3: Sunday

After a leisurely breakfast, you’ll take a horse-drawn carriage to the Edfu Temple, one of Egypt’s most important monuments and best-kept. On either side of the door are two beautiful granite statues of the god Horus as the Falcon. After you tour the temple, you’re welcome to walk or ride a bike around the market. This is a big market where you can haggle for souvenirs, tastes, and smells.

Afterward, we’ll throw away our lines and sail for an island. Once we get there, we’ll get off the boat and have dinner on the Sun Deck or near the Nile, depending on the weather. We are about to have a fun evening with a theme based on ancient Egypt. There will be traditional Egyptian food and music from the Middle East. Put on a gallabeyah made just for you or a costume made for belly dancing. We had a calm sail to Esna, and when we got there, we decided to spend the night there.

Meals: breakfast – lunch – dinner.

Day 4: Monday

After breakfast, you’ll get off your Nile boat at Esna. You’ll then be taken to Luxor for a tour that includes the Valley of the Kings, the Temple of Hatshepsut, the Colossi of Memnon, and the Temple of Karnak. In Luxor, you will also eat lunch. In the evening, you will be taken to either the airport or the train station in Luxor so you can get ready to leave.

Meals: breakfast.

Day 2: Tuesday

Start sailing toward Edfu while you take your time eating breakfast. You should be there by noon at the latest. Take a horse-drawn carriage to the Edfu Temple, one of Egypt’s famous sites. The Edfu Temple stands out because it is one of the country’s largest and most complete archaeological sites. On either side of the entrance are two beautiful granite statues of the Egyptian god Horus as the falcon. After you tour the temple, you’re welcome to walk or ride a bike around the market.

Day 3: Wednesday

After having breakfast at your own pace in the morning, you will sail to the Greco-Roman Temple at Kom Ombo, where you will spend most of the day. You can comfortably sail to Aswan while watching and listening to water buffalo move through the shallow water.
