We will pick you up from Sokhna Port in a private car and transfer you to Alexandria. After arriving in Alexandria in the morning, we will start our tour with visits to…
Catacombs:
The Romans built the catacombs in Kom El Shoqafa. They have three levels, and the way they are decorated is a mix of the Egyptian panthea and the Roman panthea.
Roman Theater:
The Roman Theater in Alexandria is behind the Street of Facades. It was built by the Nabataeans at the start of the first century AD.
Shortly after the Romans took over the kingdom in 106 AD, they added to and improved it. They built it by cutting a street of houses or tombs in half. This made the back of the hall bigger, so it could fit 3,000 people.
Alexandria Library:
We will go to the new Library of Alexandria, whose design is based on the god Amun-Ra and the Lighthouse of Alexandria. There are also a planetarium, three museums, a laboratory, and a printing press, in addition to the many libraries.
Friday and Saturday, the library is closed (it is visible from the outside only).
Abu al-Abbas Mosque:
We will also go by the beautiful Abu al-Abbas al-Mursi Mosque in Cairo. It was built between 1929 and 1945, and its design was inspired by ancient Egyptian buildings.
Lunch
After noon, we’ll take a break and eat lunch in a restaurant with a view of the Mediterranean. This will give us a chance to refuel. The meal is usually made up of dishes from Egypt, such as meat dishes, rice, and salads (drinks not included)
Qaitbay Citadel:
We will also be able to see the Citadel of Qaitbay, which was built on the site of the ancient pharaohs (Light House) in Alexandria. It is a defensive fortress that was built in 1480 by a slave named Ashraf Abu al-Nasr, Seif al-Din Qaitbay. Sultan.
After the tour, we will take you back to Sokhna Port.
