Day 1: Welcome Aboard the Princess Farida Dahabiya – Your Journey Begins

Upon your arrival in Aswan, whether by flight or from your hotel, our team will be there to greet you with exceptional service, setting the stage for your royal adventure. It is recommended to arrive in the morning (before 9:00 AM). Your Egyptologist guide and driver will take you on a detailed tour of Aswan, starting with a visit to the Aswan High Dam.

This marvel of modern engineering, completed in the 1960s, controls the flow of the Nile River and provides hydroelectric power. You will be able to enjoy magnificent views of both Lake Nasser and the Nile. Afterward, you’ll take a scenic boat ride to the Temple of Philae, one of Egypt’s most beautiful temples, dedicated to the goddess Isis.

The temple, originally located on Philae Island, was relocated to Agilkia Island after the construction of the dam. After these exciting visits, you’ll board your Dahabiya for embarkation and check-in. In the afternoon, the Dahabiya will set sail towards Kom Ombo, passing picturesque landscapes along the way.

Upon arrival, visit the unique Temple of Kom Ombo, dedicated to the gods Sobek, the crocodile god, and Horus the Elder, the falcon-headed god. The temple’s symmetrical design, with two entrances and two sanctuaries, makes it a must-see site. After your visit, enjoy a peaceful evening on the boat, with dinner and an overnight stay on El Beshier Island.

Included Meals: Lunch, Dinner

Overnight: El Beshier Island

Day 2: Visit to Edfu Temple + El Selsela

On the second day, after a leisurely breakfast, you’ll continue your journey along the Nile River, setting sail towards El Selsela. This ancient quarry site, known for its historical significance, provided much of the stone used in the construction of Egypt’s temples and monuments.

During your visit, you’ll explore the quarries, caves, and religious shrines carved into the rock. It’s a fascinating place to learn about the labor and skill of ancient workers. After exploring El Selsela, you will continue your sail towards Edfu, arriving in the late morning.

Upon arrival, you’ll be transferred by a traditional horse-drawn carriage (known as a “caleche”) to the Temple of Horus, one of Egypt’s most well-preserved temples. The temple is dedicated to Horus, the falcon-headed god, and is considered one of the best-preserved examples of ancient Egyptian architecture.

After your visit, you can enjoy a relaxed afternoon onboard the Dahabiya as it sails down the Nile. You’ll pass by quaint villages, palm groves, and fishermen in traditional feluccas, adding to the charm of the river journey. In the evening, enjoy dinner on board, followed by an overnight stay in a small village.

Day 3: Sail to Luxor – Discover Luxor East Bank

On the third day, after breakfast, you’ll set sail towards Luxor, enjoying a peaceful morning on the Nile. As you glide along the river, take in the serene views of the riverbanks, dotted with small villages and lush green fields. By early afternoon, you’ll arrive in Luxor.

After disembarking, meet your Egyptologist guide, who will take you on a fascinating exploration of the East Bank of Luxor. First, you’ll visit the magnificent Karnak Temple, a vast complex that took over 2,000 years to complete.

Karnak is the largest ancient religious site in the world, and its grandeur will leave you speechless. You’ll explore the iconic Hypostyle Hall, the towering pylons, and the impressive statues that line the temple’s corridors.

Afterward, you’ll continue to the Luxor Temple, which stands in the heart of the city. Unlike other temples, Luxor Temple is not dedicated to a god, but rather to the rejuvenation of kingship. The temple is home to incredible reliefs, statues, and an impressive courtyard.

After this enriching tour, you will return to the Dahabiya for a relaxing evening and dinner on board. Enjoy the tranquil atmosphere as you reflect on the day’s discoveries.

Day 4: Disembarkation and Visit to Luxor West Bank

On the final day, after breakfast, you’ll board your vehicle for a short transfer across the Nile to the West Bank of Luxor, an area rich in ancient history. Your first stop is the Valley of the Kings, the burial site of many of Egypt’s greatest pharaohs. As you explore the tombs, you’ll be amazed by the stunning murals and hieroglyphs that tell the story of the journey to the afterlife. Each tomb is unique, with its own set of intricately carved reliefs.

Afterward, you’ll visit the Temple of Hatshepsut, one of Egypt’s most impressive architectural wonders. Built for Egypt’s first female pharaoh, this mortuary temple is a masterpiece of ancient architecture, set against the backdrop of towering limestone cliffs.

Next, head to the Colossi of Memnon, two giant statues that have stood for over 3,000 years at the entrance of the Amenhotep III temple.
