Visit the Roman ruins of Jerash, about 50 km away from Amman. See the Hippodrome, the Nymphaeum, the Temple of Artemis and the North Theatre. Back in Amman explore the Citadel hill with remains from the Roman to the early Islamic period and a small Archaeological Museum.
Onto the opposite Roman Theatre from the 2nd century with 6,000 seats. From here stroll along the vibrant Souq and stop in Jabal Amman at Rainbow Street with its charm of early 20th century houses.
Return to your hotel in Amman.

Off you go for a 1.5 hour drive to Wadi Rum. This dramatic desert is Jordan’s largest wadi and has been inhabited since prehistoric times. Hop in a 4×4 and uncover more of the vast area.
You see canyons, red sand dunes, Nabatean rock inscriptions and a natural rock bridge. Head 3.5 hours to the lowest point on earth the Dead Sea.
